Commercial Services
The Commercial Team provides strategic advice to the hotels and franchise partners at national and international level and carries out regular quality checks.
The challenge for the Commercial Services team is to communicate with the individual stakeholders, owners, franchisors and general managers. Direct and immediate contact with the franchisors (e.g. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, IHG, Radisson Hotel Group, Best Western and Accor Hotels) ensures short implementation paths and excellent communication.
The future of Commercial Services lies in the expansion of strategic partnerships, revenue streams and the development of internal and external quality assurance.

Sales (Corporate, MICE & Key Account Management
The approximately 40 employees of the Sales Corporate and MICE Department look after the customers of the GCH Hotel Group in the six areas North, Berlin, East, West, Central and South. The department is responsible for field sales, key account management and the meeting desk and is responsible for looking after existing and contract customers, acquiring new customers, optimising the utilisation of conference capacities and thus expanding the entire corporate business of all hotels in the GCH portfolio.
The main focus for the Corporate and MICE Sales team of the GCH Hotel Group is on supporting the feeder markets in Germany and promoting the cross-selling concept between the sales staff in the areas and the hotels, as well as coordinating and optimising the sales campaigns between the GCH Sales team and the franchise partners IHG, Best Western, Accor Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
How does the sales department see its work? As close to the market, sustainable, customer-orientated, competent and professional.
Marketing & Digital
The GCH Hotel Group's digital department develops, creates and maintains landing pages and websites for both the hotels and the GCH corporate website. Its services include programming, search engine marketing (SEO and SEM), display and remarketing, social media, email marketing, content creation and layout. The focus is on the topicality, functionality and usability of the websites. The processes are based on analyses and data so that the right target groups are always addressed. The hotels generate direct bookings and sales through a strong online presence and sales-promoting storytelling.
The marketing department is responsible for the brand management of the GCH Hotel Group and the hotels. The preparation, takeover and integration of new or re-branded hotels into the portfolio are just as much a part of the tasks as PR measures. Marketing organises trade fair participations and events, takes care of cooperations and sponsorships, coordinates agencies and printers and compiles presentation materials, advertising gifts and promotional materials, taking into account a uniform corporate identity.
Marketing is also responsible for creating and editing images, videos, graphics and documents. Optimised and innovative processes and a service-oriented approach make the Marketing & Digital department a powerful and reliable partner.
Central Reservation Office
The Central Reservation Office (CRO), based in Berlin, currently has around 15 employees. More than 40 hotels are directly connected to the CRO by fax, e-mail and telephone, and other hotels from the GCH Hotel Group portfolio via the free and centralised 0800 reservation hotline. Reservation enquiries can be made in German and English from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays and from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends and public holidays.
The CRO ensures a healthy balance in communication between the hotels, the regional departments, the brand and hotel standards and the wishes of the guests. The dedicated call centre with its natural friendliness presents itself as a service-oriented link between the guest and the front office.
Sales (Leisure)
The 11-strong Sales Leisure Department team is responsible for tourism sales at all GCH Hotel Group hotels. The employees provide expert support to national and international B2B leisure customers from the FIT and group travel segment. Together with the hotels, they develop the appropriate leisure sales strategies and organise their sales activities and the customer mix for each hotel in the GCH portfolio.
The focus of the department is on the support of existing and key customers and the development and expansion of new potential business relationships. The aim of the department is to optimally utilise the leisure availability of all GCH hotels. This involves utilising the various sales opportunities offered by the dynamic travel market and reacting flexibly to market fluctuations. The strengths of the GCH Leisure Sales team are professionalism, strong communication skills, customer-orientation and a constant ear to the market.
Accounting & Controlling
The GCH Group's accounting department is responsible for operational hotel accounting, controlling and audits. With 7 employees in the head office, 35 regional and 25 hotel employees, accounting is a growing branch of the company.
The biggest challenges are integrating the new hotels into the existing structures while maintaining quality standards and implementing standardised procedures in all accounting departments. Accuracy, pragmatism and flexibility characterise the service-oriented accounting and controlling of the GCH Hotel Group.
Human Resources
Human capital as a whole is the intangible asset of a company. For this reason, the HR department has set itself the goal of strengthening and expanding this capital through recruitment, but also through further development of its own employees. The GCH Hotel Group's Human Resources department is divided into Administration and Management & People Development.
It is made up of expert employees who cover the areas of personnel administration, personnel management/development, training and recruiting. The department provides advice on all labour law, social security and works constitution issues. In addition, the HR department develops customised HR practice solutions to support the business strategy.
Food & Beverage
The Food & Beverage department works at company level with the Directors of Operation of each region, the General Managers of the various hotels and, in particular, with the individual F&B managers of the hotels. It provides support in all areas of day-to-day operations such as breakfast, banqueting, à la carte, kitchen and bar, ensures the high quality of products, trains and develops staff and prepares profit and loss reports. Another task and passion is the development of food & beverage concepts and standards (including non-food F&B), taking into account the various brands and locations.
Guests are looking for more than just a great product - they are looking for an experience that is part of their lifestyle. By creating a bubble of wellbeing around the individual guest through design, interesting content and a feel-good ambience, this enriches their stay and gives them the best possible value for money. If the hotel rooms are the heart of the hospitality business, the food & beverage department is the character and soul.
IT
Telecommunications, HelpDesk, networks, server systems, Opera PMS, data security - the competent and experienced IT team supports the group of companies in all IT matters. This includes supporting employees with all IT issues, rectifying system faults, planning and monitoring back-ups and expanding and maintaining systems. The IT department brings together innovation, experience and specialist knowledge and continuously develops and optimises the IT systems as well as coordinating external service providers.
With its high level of expertise, Inhouse-IT is able to ensure a high quality of support and the continuous adaptation of infrastructure and processes to a rapidly evolving IT landscape.
Engineering
The engineering department of the GCH Hotel Group, with 6 permanent employees, is the operational engineering department for all GCH hotels. Together with the technicians in the hotels, the team is responsible for all operational engineering projects, carries out renovations and conversions, takes care of safety-relevant systems, eliminates technical problems, negotiates maintenance and energy contracts and realises potential savings (water, electricity, gas).
The department is highly organised and sees itself as Germany's leading management technology in five years' time.
Legal
Our legal team ensures that HQ and the hotels comply with the applicable laws and regulations and guarantees the protection and defence of the Group's rights and interests. The GCH lawyers negotiate and review contracts, support the hotels in all legal matters, assist in the collection of receivables and also support the specialised departments at HQ and the management.
