20. Women in Jazz Halle 2025
NEW JAZZ NOW - Young jazz from America and Europe will take centre stage at the 20th WOMEN IN JAZZ Festival in Halle and the Saale district in 2025. As in previous years, numerous well-known international female jazz artists will visit the city on the Saale and offer a musical spectacle with a series of concerts, lectures and church services. Jazz star Lizz Wright will open the festival separately in March 2025 with a concert in the Händel-Halle, before all visitors can look forward to various artists and other events from 2nd to 11th May, for example in the Händelhalle in Halle or Pauluskirche in Halle.

Together with the neighbouring trade-fair city of Leipzig, Halle is one of the most important economic hubs in the region of Saxony-Anhalt. Halle is also an important transport hub and therefore perfectly connected to the Leipzig-Halle S-Bahn suburban train network. Major companies like Coca-Cola and Dell have branches in the region. Halle – The cultural capital of Saxony-Anhalt
The lively university town is home to the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and the Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. The city welcomes its guests with historical sights, an exciting artistic and cultural landscape and a booming gastronomy and entertainment scene. Contemporary productions are staged by the Thalia Children and Youth Theatre and the Staatskapelle Halle symphony orchestra at the Kulturinsel (Culture Island) and the opera house.
Natural paradise and recreation area in Halle
Halle's urban area boasts 9 nature reserves on over 700 hectares. The lovely meadow landscape with its forests, lakes and the beautiful river banks is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking and extensive walks. Take a swim or just splash around in natural waters like the Hufeisensee (Horseshoe Lake) and the Heidesee (Moor Lake). There is also a broad offer of watersport activities. Go canoeing, wild water rafting or rowing along the river Salle. For equestrian sports enthusiasts, there is a race course at the western shores of the river Saale.
Central location in Saxony-Anhalt
The hotel is centrally located, only a few driving minutes away from Halle's old town centre. A tram stop and a suburban railway (S-Bahn) station are right at the hotel's doorstep. The journey to the city centre takes about 10 minutes.
The hotel is also well connected to the A38 and A14 motorways, which are 10 and 12 km away respectively. Leipzig Airport is 24 km from the hotel, Messe Leipzig exhibition grounds are located at a distance of 37 km.
